Important differences so you don't get sold on an incorrect resolution. I have red ants which were disturbed when I installed a sump pump. Although I admire their industrious work ethic, they are a P.I.T.A. . I moved my fridge a couple of weeks ago to clean behind it. OMG! They had entered through a small crack at the base of the wall and there was a MOUNTAIN of sand and debris. They weren't there when I went to Canada in September. So, I'm posting this because I wanted an old cabinet base removed and was told I have termites. NOT! Know the difference or your pocket book will feel the pinch (no pun intended although red ants do "bite") There was absolutely no evidence of wood damage to the base drawer frame.

I get those ant tunnels coming out of switch plates and electrical outlets.
