What happened to the two meat markets that were supposed to open? One in La Floresta and the one on Rio Bravo.

One did open in La Huerta plaza just immediately west of Rio Bravo. Don't know about any other.

Sonora Meats is SUPPOSED to be opening next to Johanna's German Restaurant on the carretera in La Floresta. Not sure when.

We bought some ground sirloin and ground pork there a few weeks ago mixed together. Made an excellent meatloaf. We asked if they could slice pork for Pork Milanesa (an extremely thin cut) for Pork Parmesan, a good substitute for Veal Parmesan. The lady took a pork shoulder, put it on the machine and sliced it perfectly. It was very good.

The lady speaks good English. They have a lot of meat, so people should try them. We will use them again.

There is only one and it's next to the new fish market. It's been there about 4 months or more.

I don't think the other one has opened up yet. It is supposed to be somewhere in the vicinity of La Floresta.

Sonora's Meats has a sign up saying they are open. This is the meat market next to Johanna's German Restaurant on the Highway in La Floresta.
Sorry, I just spotted their sign as we drove by today...I didn't go in or note their hours/days of operation.
