My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
Our baby was a 6 year old Mexican CHIHUAHUA, He was a mighty warrior. Got outside this morning and he met his match a F****** Bull Mastiff, of course he lost, we buried him in the back yard this morning. We got him when we got together and was a big part of our life.
"Tribute To A Best Friend
Sunlight streams through window panes onto a spot on the floor...then I remember, it's where you used to lie, but now you are no more. Our feet walk down a hall of carpet and muted echoes sound....then I remember, It's where your paws would joyously abound. A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill then I remember it can't be yours....your golden voice is still. But I'll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall. I'll wrap these treasured memorials in a blanket of my love and keep them for my best friend until we meet above." Unknown Author
This little boy should have out lived me, giving her comfort and joy, when I left, but now all we have is us, when I go she will be alone

So very sorry to hear that. Time will ease the pain. When you're ready for another loyal friend go to the shelter. Someone is waiting there for you.

Sorry for you loss. When time heals this wound, another will be looking for you.
Re: My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
Losing a pet this way, I think is one the worst. As pain of loss seldom goes away, fortunately, photo's , and memories of fun, 6 years of enjoyment, sometimes replace the pain. Sorry for your loss, one pet lover to another.

Re: My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
Technically speaking Black Panthers are simply black versions of cougars, jaguars, leopards or tigers and not really a species unto itself:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_panther
Both spotted and black jaguars are native to numerous regions of Mexico with a heavy emphasis in Chiapas and the Yucatan. If my memory serves me correctly, they performed a jaguar census in Jalisco about a year ago and physically counted about 100 of them. Black Panther Cubs might be a neat acquisition but check into how much they eat when they become full grown cats.
If you are willing to travel to Dubai, one is available right now:

Re: My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
Time to get back on thread....losing a pet is like losing a member of family, for most of us! The bond between the pet, and the family really can't be measured.....and the loss and grief experienced, can't be properly be stated .

Re: My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
He is special because we got him about 1 month after we got together, and me being 65 maybe he was to take my place when my time comes. My wife is 45 and can't have anymore childern so this was in her mind her baby. I was to set up a birthday party at the end of this month, my friend Brian James was going to do a solo jam for her. Everyone is invited, but not to sure about Brian, Brian is Brian, maybe see, maybe no. will advise. Thanks Tim

Re: My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
Losing a pet is no joke. It hurts. Sorry, Prorader.
Plenty of things to joke about without getting crass.

Some people don't know how to express grief and try and change the subject. It's part of dealing with the loss.
Our sympathies to your and your wife Prorader. The loss of a pet is a heartbreaker at any time in your life. May you all meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

Re: My Wife and I lost our Baby Today
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
