Earlier this AM there was an interesting post by Ms. Tang that had a link to a newpaper article re: more kidnappings in Ajijic. It has been removed by the moderators. Thought this Board was not censured; think again.

Take a deep breath and get to know how this board works before you go saying it's no different.
If you are registered and go to the Octagon, you will see that the post has been moved, not deleted.
If posts are made that are factual, and state sources, you will see they remain in the main portion of the board.
However, if they are rumor, they are moved to the Octagon, where only those that are registered can read them.
Very little ever gets deleted here, monitoring and censorship is not a common occurrence.

I'm a little curious about this as well. I am guessing that it is because there is a specific section there for crime and crime rumors. However, perhaps there needs to be a section outside of the Octagon for this topic.

Might I suggest that you look in Octagon next time. You don't have to read or post here if you don't want to. This is a great Board, unlike TOB.

Early this morning I made another comment about this story and mentioned something I had heard that was not in the link...in other words, a rumor. I'm sure that's why it was moved.
I am new to this board also. But from what I have seen , this board is VERY different, and very fair....but not for the faint of heart, at times. it's maybe, a little more brutal? But not censored.

For the time being I have put all the crime stuff in the Octagon so only registered members can read it. With the state of affairs around here and the sudden about face by Crapola I want a record of everyone who is accessing this stuff. It is for our own safety and security!

Since I can't be here on the board all the time I also recommend that anyone posting any details of a local crime also put it in the crime section for the added security!

For those that think law enforcement is doing anything. Lately the policia have patrolled my neighborhood at numerous times of the day ,night and early mornings. Local, State and Federal unmarked trucks are involved. Just now 4 unmarked Federale trucks along with 3 state trucks drove by with a young male tied up in back. It sounds like where they went they were not allowed to enter and they broke in. sounds like a bust to me!
