Cole slaw

Anybody know where I can get it para llevar? Prefer finely cut, with vinegar and oil, which I have not found down here, but will take any kind, as my doctor tells me I need to consume more veggies (yuck) if I want to outlive my dogs. Thanks, chico

Was a meat and potatoe guy for the longest time, but found the easiest way to eat lots more veggies is to make smoothies with greens, with the mango and papaya down here mixed in, you'll never know it was good for you....tastes great

Thought about getting a juicer for the longest time. Finally went and looked at a few. Had no idea how to put them together or take them apart, much less wash the parts. Not to mention the cost. WOW. chico

The Score has it. Whether they have the quantity you want is unknown. I get it when I get take-out.

Thanks David. Just do not like folks that guess and send you on a wild goose chase looking for something that is not there. I am sure you know what I mean. The Score is about the closest restaurant to my place. Maybe, I will order a pizza and cole slaw to go. Will not mention the pizza to my doc, but will tell him about the cole slaw. Smitty's BBQ place in Riberas used to have the cole slaw with vinegar. Don't know if he is still open.

Bubba's has Coleslaw

The chicken store across the side street from La Paz has cole slaw--and potato salad. They also do a nice green salad that you can add even more fresh veggies to. If you buy one of their whole chickens and shred chicken meat on it you have got a veggie-rich complete meal--and no dishes to wash.

OK, the "Chicken store" is Tony's. And for the Nth time it's "PAZ Vinos y Licores." Not "La Paz" which is the name of cities in Bolivia and Baja California Sur. PAZ is the family name of the owners.

And the owner of PAZ Liquors and Hole in One is the owner of Super Lake.

Actually, the chicken store is run by Cesar's brother. Cesar runs Tony's carneceria and they are both Tony's sons.

Jeebus chico why don't you just make it yourself. I like mine with a creamier dressing. Get yourself a mandolin, buy a cabbage and some carrots and maybe a bit of onion. Get to work here, that will also help you outlive the dogs.

Man, all I want is a little coleslaw. Had no idea it would turn into this. Tell you what. Will be hitting Mom's, Score, Bubba's and the restaurant across the street from Paz tomorrow before noon, after my girls are through with their run at the dog park. Any other contenders? If they are not open by noon, so be it. You all left out Magana's I love his food, but his coleslaw chunks are huge. Will let you know the results of my taste test. chico

Holy cow! I wondered why even though there are now 1,000 members on this forum, the same (relativity) few people seem to make the majority of comments. Now I am beginning to see why. One person asks an innocuous question about where to buy cole slaw for god´s sweet sake. Another person has the temerity to suggest what she thinks is a good option. Then they both get jumped on for their laziness and ignorance after which a brief squabble breaks out over who owns which store and the history of the families they come from! It seems pretty common, so I am thinking perhaps this is the nature of all forums. They are just big, dysfunctional families.

Is Pancho and Polo the same person?

Because I know Pancho quite well and I am pretty sure he owns Super Lake and El Hole in One. Not sure about Paz Licores.
