New immigration law to happen within a week

After all the rumor, BS, and false information, in the news today the Secretary of the Government said the new immigration regulations will be published within a week and when that happens the new law passed May 2011 will take effect.

Will be interesting to see the changes and the ensuing madness, I reccommend all to renew ASAP if you can avoid the changes to not be caught up in the initial madness.

I was secretly hoping this would never happen.
I guess I'll have to spend most of October rewriting much of my website. UGH!

Are you not being a bit optimistic that you can complete the task in the month of October? I would speculate that you may just be kept busy making changes when the individual offices start with their own understandings of whatever is contained in all of the new provisions.

I don't even want to think about that.

They passed a new immigration law in May, 2011 which would take effect once they publish the regulations that further explain the law. The article stated that within a week, well over a year after the law was published, that the regulations would be published thereby activating and implementing the new law passed last year.

According to TOB, the new regulations will be published in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion: www.dof.gob.mx.

Friday 28 Sept is the day of publication. The new system wiil go into effect 30 working days later.
