NO FFS the new laws will certainly be changed after Dec 1st. Don't be bugging Rolly and Spencer before then.

I agree, the laws are in a state of flux and need to be interpreted. Spencer doesn't need to sit in his office answering forum members questions on here. That doesn't pay his bills and earn him a living.

Lotsa speculation Rolly. New admin., new rules. Let's just face a few facts here. No way the new admin. wants foreigners pulling their income and cash out of Mexico. D'ya think?

Re: change in fm 2/3 qualifications
yes the new law went into effect on Thursday but since there are lots of unanswered question and that the last of the papers needed to cover the last people under the old law are not available we are at a stand still for a while. When the new government gets in maybe they will see necessary changes and then maybe not..but there are plenty of questions and it is going to be interesting to see what will happen when a bunch of people do not qualify after living here for many years. We will see then what happens.

So Rolly, where are all those big bucks stashed that have been generated by all of your hard work?
Out of all the people claiming to have knowledge of Mexico, Rolly is the only one who should be nominated for Sainthood!

Wha.....?
Cheena, do you have some reason to brutalize Rolly for his hard work?

So, Rolly is a Catholic who has been dead for over 50 years, performed 3 proveable miracles and can therefore be nominated for sainthood?

To say the least! My respect for Rolly extends back way too many years to count!
If you wish to get technical, Rolly is a Mormon. It isn't about religion but rather what Rolly has contributed to the Gringo community in Mexico and to his community in Lerdo. IMO, there is no one that I am aware of who has contributed so much!

Oh, then maybe Mormons have other standards for sainthood that don't include being dead. :-)

Calling someone a saint is a figure of speech isn't it?

Asking if someone who is actively posting on the Internet has been dead for 50 years is also a figure of speech... btw he has a terrific quote in his profile by Abraham Lincoln.

I suppose I am a saint since I'm a member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
And thanks for the kind words which my mother would probably not believe.

Absolutely, Rolly is the go to guy for information on everything from customs to cooking and just about anything else you can imagine. Check out his website for sure.
Oh yeah, for the moment please let Rolly get some rest over the new INM laws. Nobody knows the scoop yet, and likely nobody will for many weeks to come.
