I assume somebody will warn Frida about the coming onslaught? I don't recall there being a huge amount of space inside, although I've only been in the front area myself.

Heather...Don't you think all the physical disputes should be handled outside before we sit down to the meal, in respect to the proprietors....and it might thin the ranks a little. Very Happy

Well of course... as always. That's why I usually show up late, and just step over the pools of blood on my way into the restaurant. No need to worry about who's right, just who's left.

OK, looks like we have about 24 so far. Frida's going to be in for a big day. I plan on going there on Monday to make the reservation and ensure they can handle a crowd this size.

As a frequent patron of Frida and knowing of its limited space, I would suggest that that would be a good idea CBob. One of the charms of this restaurant is its quiet, uncrowded nature in an open air setting. I cannot even imagine how 24 plus diners in addition to their normal clientele, would fit in there much less how all will be served well unless there is a limited menu that day. Dawg will be in Chiapas when you have this swarm but I wish you guys and Frida success. As we Southerners like to say, you all come back soon you all hear, but not too soon.

Well it appears Fridas is closed on Monday and Tuesday so I will return Wednesday morning to see if they can accomodate us on Thursday. If not, we will make a last minute venue change to someplace that can accomodate a larger party on short notice.

Like Dog, I am having a difficult time picturing a large group descending upon that restaurant and any unsuspecting regulars there for the normal experience. If you do change venues, I hope small groups of Inside Lakesiders will make a point to visit and experience this restaurant on their own. It is a treat.

LOL...if everybody ordered the same dish, I think it's almost guaranteed that they wouldn't have enough, but that's not going to happen...unless it's prearranged. Hopefully there will be some versatility in the orders.

Swarm is the word. I believe they can comfortably seat about 36, but then you're takin over the joint. Pre - warned is pre armed. They will need additional floor staff on the day, and in the kitchen. That pork shank thingie they have is to die for. one order feeds two. Interested to see how how this one works out.
