There is no Weber store any longer. It's been gone a couple of years. There is a Napoleon store. Call Strom-White moving for info, they're owned by the same people.

Tio Sam's sells Weber BBQ's. Perhaps they can also order parts and accessories.

Those charcoal starter cannister things work amazingly well. I remember the first time I used one it was like, "Whooaaa!".

If you can't locate one or it becomes a pain in the ass, I can't think of anything easier to have someone fabricate locally. Hell, two five pound coffee cans welded together and your half way home! jajaja

thanks all fer yer input. the one i have now was made here with heavier guage steel than the originals and using the handle and shield  from the commercial. this took about 2 years ta burn through. omar has been too busy getting drunk lately so last night i got it back[so i could do the ribs] after he had it fer 4 days and didn't touch it. now i'm gonna take it up to ron and see what they can do. i am so used to using them that i can't figger out how to start the barbie without one
there is a pic of this one that omar made fer me 2 years ago on my forum somewhere

Pedro - I was just at the Napoleon store and they have the Weber charcoal starter there. Didn't look to be particularly heavy gauge steel and the price is US$35.00. Only saw one on display.

Frankly, that store is expensive.

That's what you get when the goods are ALL imported and many made in China.  The duty is very high on China made stuff.

Fifty years ago, I made one like that from a section of stove pipe. It works like a champ with some newspaper in the bottom and charcoal on top. In no time it is spouting like a jet engine and can be lifted off, leaving hot coals starting in the grille, where more can be added.
