La Tequila Restaurant - Guadalajara

Since this restaurant is located very near Kathy's dentist, we had seen the location a number of times but had never been there during the hours they were open.  Having seen it as the top rated Guadalajara restaurant on TripAdvisor and noticed a high percentage of the 298 reviews were written by locals from Guadalajara, we decided to give it a try.

To start off with, you will notice an extensive collection of over 520 tequilas on display by the entry.  When we arrived shortly after 1pm on a Sunday, there were only a few people occupying tables but within about an hour, the restaurant was about 70 to 80% full.  Very extensive menu with a good variety of choices.  The service was very personal and attentive and included touches like making salsa at your table.  While our Arrachera Molcajete could have been a bit hotter, it was one of the best we have every had along with some other items:

We ate there. Reserve. It was AWESOME. If you're in Guad for New Year's Eve make a lunch reservation. They close after lunch. So eat, siesta, party.
