March 18th is the "Dia de la Expropiacion Petrolera" or the day they kicked out all foreign companies having business with Mexico regarding Petrolium.

Maybe it's being celebrated on Monday

Oh my, is it a holiday?....is it ever....it's a double holiday.
1.  Benito Juarez birthday...a national, federal, all over Mexico holiday. Everybody gets the day off or paid holiday day.
2. Por los mexicanos de sangre irlandés, es el día de San Patricio.  Where everyone shouts that old Mexican war cry...."Erin go Bragh Beer /México go Bragh" Beer .....UK... Thumbs down US... Thumbs down

Miguel/Michael and I will down a few via skype.
He will be celebrating in Boston, and I in Ajijic.
