Mid-May trip

  Sorry if this has been covered ad nauseam.   

I'm driving down from Abq., crossing at Sta. Teresa. I have a hotel picked out on the periferico of Chihuahua for my first night and am looking at the highway choices north of Guadalajara. Google has me going in a westerly direction at Fresnillo and in on Highway 23. Then there is 54D out of Zacatecas OR 45D out of Zacatecas through Aguas Calientes and Lagos.

This is not the time for me to be ambling around leisurely-like. I got places to be and stuff to do. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

And PS-anybody need anything from NOB, I'm happy to haul it down.

basically a goober is just a kindhearted, rather oblivious goofball. it's term of endearment really. it comes from the ancient scottish verb "to goub", which has to do with doing a dance and smiling sheepishly while doing so, exposing the goubs in one's teeth.

"That Peter is such a goober," said Jane as Peter vector-danced* his Junior Prom away.

*footnote: the vector dance involves angling one's arms to form angles and vectors and pumping them back and forth to music. basically, it's geeky as hell. but completely sexy.

Well in the south that is what the locals call peanuts. Although your definition sure fits LOL

goober= a naive,ignorant,foolish person..or a peanut..
But it's still one of the more endearing terms you've been called on this forum..

Arbon, you did not go down far enough in the list of various meanings for goober. You missed this one:
