Albert and Ellen (LN)

I've been trying to find their website/forum for the South Side. Are they still up and running? I haven't heard from them for quite some time. Anyone talk to them lately?

Yes, they are still around. LN has been mending a broken leg from a motorcycle accident last year. There has been many surgeries and complications. Their website is Monarch Hosting Services at http://monarchhostingservices.com/

From what I understand they are planning on moving to a town near Ensenada on the Baja once LN is fully healed.

Wow.  I knew Ellen was hurt...I just didn't realize how badly.  Sounds like it shot their dream of developing their property in the head.  They were living in their fifth wheel travel trailer when we visited them. It was nice and the views were awesome... but I'm sure it was not all that much fun with a broken leg.  They had such great plans.  Rotten luck.  Hope everything goes smoother from here on out.  

It will probably make me think twice when I climb on one of my unbroken colts for the first time.....nah.... probably not.  But it does bring up the fact that we don't heal like we did when we were 20.  What a bummer.

I have no idea about their Southside Forum. I didn't know it existed.

Really?  They had it for quite awhile.  Not a lot of activity but you could get questions answered.

You're right..not a lot of activity but it was a connection to the Southside where I could go for information.  There's nothing else that fills that spot, which is too bad.

No doubt. There have been a few forums here that were dead from the getgo.......  

The sad part is that they filled a niche that nobody else was...or is.  That new website isn't about the Southside.  I think too many people just looked but didn't join in and I'm sure it got frustrating for them..they really tried hard.  Ellen's injury must have been the final straw.  It really is sad..they were so enthusiastic.

Well yeah, that's true too.....just wish there was someone on the South Side that kept happenings there reported.

Well Albert participates on here occasionally and we have a few other southsiders so I'm sure it is covered off.

But if they go to Baja..... there was lots of info on their forum that I never saw on the others.

It's a moot point of course..if it's gone..it's gone.

BTW.....if you want to chat with LN send her an e-mail or "friend" her on FaceBook. She posts on there as Abbey Boogernugget. Probably better than getting the info second hand on here.

Yeah, I guess so. It's so easy to get caught up in those kinds of things...I waste enough time as it is...with a gazillion projects staring at me..large sigh.

Yes, there are people addicted to FaceBook just like these forums however it is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family when you are living a long distance away. Especially the younger generation.

It's just so sad when you see families out to dinner...and every is using their electronic whatever.  There are some things I like about this techie era...like research is so quick...but for the most part ..I'm not a fan.... but then...my parents are gone and I don't have kids.
