Assault and Robbery in Ajijic Centro

An elderly couple was assaulted and robbed in their home last night. They live on Ramon Corona (right within the LCS property). It appears the robbers took their car as well. That is all the details I have at this point. The police and ambulance were still on the scene early this morning.

Apparently, one of the homeowners, a 91 year old gentlemen, was taken to the hospital with head injuries.

Sure wish they had the death penalty.

They do, it is called the right to bear arms and justifiable homicide for those who enter your home at night or break in during the day.

The need to injure an man that elderly...is horrifying. It should be considered attempted murder.

it's not called "the right to bear arms" in mexico. but you can own a firearm and keep it in your home even if you are not a citizen.
so bearing an arm is not accurate nor legal terminology here.

I'm with you guys...anyone with such a low regard for life...shoot the bastard.

Similar to the US, the 10th Article of the Mexican Constitution talks about the right to have arms, like the US does not mean carrying outside necessarily.

I have no idea at this point however I believe their closest neighbors may know. That is who I was talking with this morning.

Yes, there is at least one (and maybe two) residences further south on their side. I will see if I can find out anything more today.

The couple are back at home now.

Also, if you are speaking with them see if you can find out how these dirt bags got in. It could be a valuable learning lesson for all of us.

Just the stress from recurrent attacks could kill them. Whoever is low enough to do this... SHOULD be shot.

LCS has security cameras so they probably have images of the bad guy(s)
