Water purification system

Before your expensive filters. Mine is on city line going to roof tanks. Basement tank also pumps thru this filter. Cheap filter and I open it up and clean it every month or so. It lasts a while if you clean the filter.

Prefilter (or sand filter if appropriate)
Roof tanks 1500L
Pump and pressure tank
Large particle filter
Large Carbon block filter
UV light
Water Softener
Drinkable house water that tasts good

Zed what are the micron sizes of your prefilter, particle filter and carbon filter? Also what is the gpm flow rate on your UV lite.

Is it worth adding a reverse osmosis system to a system with filtering, water softening and UV light?

Was it necessary? I do not know for sure. But I have a reverse Osmosis system that feeds the water and ice maker in my refrig and has a faucet for drinking water for my kitchen area.

What is a ceolite filter? I have a tall tank for water softener and another tall tank that is a ceolite filter. Do I also need a carbon filter?
