Has Thor's Restaurant closed?

I saw that Thor's has been closed for a while. Are they gone for good, or just renovating? Or, have they moved?

Closed, supposedly moving to a new location, but to my knowledge not announced publicly yet, where it will be.
So I guess, stay tuned.

Post on TOB says Number 4 is closing next month, too. Bad year for restaurants.

But then Arileo, Monte Cristo, and a slew of new ones have opened.
They come and go.
And you can't keep up with the new ones on the roads to, and in Guadalajara, they come so fast.  Who could or would have imagined all the new restaurants in the new Gourmeteria near the Costco store in Santa Anita, a few years ago.
Piedra Barrenada is packed every weekend and that's all they need to make it.

I don't trust this Thor person, he's always making excuses and his reasons for closing up in Riberas are ridiculous. They have outgrown the location. They didn't want to renew their lease. They are going to spend the summer trying out new recipes. They can't say where they are moving because of confidentiality bla bla bla.
His landlord, owner of Puritan Poultry, say's he split and didn't say anything about it, even to his staff.
He huffs and puffs about how successful his restaurant is but his actions say something entirely different. His food was certainly less than memorable and one of the two meals that I had there was pure crap.
I don't doubt that Thor's might spring up somewhere else when the high season starts but I don't believe he knows where that is yet. He sure is a smooth talker though, I'll give him that.
Did anyone see the post that Barbara Habacht made on a now closed thread about Thor's on C.com? It was hysterical.

Here's my take on Thor.

I don't trust anyone from a country that shut down Europe's airports for days\weeks....something even the middle east terrorists couldn't do. I let him know how I felt as I was personally involved.  They can turn those volcanos on and off at will, especially when they have a financial crisis, so incorrect information about a restaurant closing wouldn't surprise me. At least he didn't use the Volcan de Colima as an excuse.
