I need pics for my Residente Permanente. I know about the photographer in Chapala. Is there one in Ajijic? Someone said there's one on Ocampo near Colon. Anyone know?

INM no longer accepts phots from them.  They're being a real PITA about this.

David, there's a photographer on Ocampo, south side of the street, same block as Manix. He's about 4 doors or so east of Manix. We've gotten all of our visa and passport photos there, no problem with any of them.

My wife just got some for a travel letter. I'll ask her the name and post it here in case you have trouble finding him. Best time to go to find him in is after 9:30AM.

Can I print my own photo quality pictures or would they reject them as well?

I wouldn't try it.  How would you get the size right?

The size is the easy part - getting the paper thickness that they want you to use is more difficult.
To get the size right, just take the DPI (dots per inch) and multiply it by the pixels and print pixel-for-pixel.

The big complaint from INM is the photo fading when the laminate is applied so the ink and printing method must be a factor.
