Nogales to Lakeside

I will be driving down alone to Lakeside next week. I plan on crossing into Mexico at Nogales on Oct 18 or 19 ( Sat. or Sun.) and making 2 overnight stops before arriving in Lakeside. Has anyone driven this road within the pass week or so? I heard that there was a blockage around Culiacan. My time is flexible so if it is better to cross into Mexico during the week I can do this. Any information is appreciated.

Haven't heard anything about blockade, however, my friends just made the trip and ran into construction delays there. The VICAM blockade has been a non issue for over a year as they were escorting autos around the blockade......Truckers were impacted. Have a safe trip.
