Chapala Malecon Coming Apart Empty Chapala Malecon Coming Apart

Went for a walk down to the malecon this just after sunset and there was hazard tape cutting out an area about 40 ft. long on the west side of the malecon, just north of the steps down to the boat landing. There is a crack and the waterside has dropped an inch or two. No pictures. I'm a lousy tourist - no camera. It must be quite serious, pedestrian hazard warnings are very rare.
