Relax - the cold spell is over!

Went into Guad yesterday and laid out money for a fancy electric spaceheater (Details Here, if interested) so everyone can relax, it will warm up now.

Of course, had a bought an airconditioner then the cold would have continued.

I filled up all three of my heater tanks yesterday that should help it to warm up for sure.  Car is still dirty so that won't cause rain.   Curious why electric heater versus cat gas heater???

It will warm up for sure now.  I just had Saul bring us another load of wood.

On the other hand, my friend is having a huge broken skylight replaced, so her roof is open and that means..............

Rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Not as cold as last week but still....

The reason it's been overcast and cold since mid October is that's when we had E-Sun install those photovoltaic cells, you know, the kind that generates electricity when the sun is shining.  Well, since then we've saved enough money on electricity to pay for about 1/10 the gas we've used in our space heater. But there is hope, if we have one more sunless week they're getting them back with a full refund expected, and never again will there be a cloudy day!

NOT SO FAST! Keep the umbrellas handy. Storm clouds over the mountains and really dark clouds in the direction of Joco. Geez! At this rate, I will still be wearing turtlenecks in June!

Electric heater may be more expensive, but at least it's effective. No matter how much beans I feed my cat, I can't ever get enough gas out of him to heat the place up.

Don't laugh I have a cat who farts all the time especially when he is being lovey dovey.

Lighting a match might cure him, at the least it would get his attention.

I've always been nervous about having propane tanks inside the house - just paranoia on my part, I guess. Plus, one of the reviews of this unit, the guy said he bought this unit and an LP unit at the same time and was spending way more on propane for the LP one than this one cost in electricity so I took that as encouragement - it is only 1000W.

You guys are killin' me!  I'm sitting in my office outside Washington DC and it's snowing!  610 days mas o menos........

No need to apologize. Our time is coming.

Remember you have a furnace we don't for the most part.  Big difference!  Also after you live here for a while 75/80F becomes the new 70F for comfort.
