Passion of Christ Empty Passion of Christ

and crucifixion was to take place in the empty field at the west end of San Antonio. The procession was to start at 12:30 at the arroyo and continue down Ramon Corona. This was according to the Guadalajara Reporter and where it has been for years.
I was there at 1:30 as were others. We waited in the heat for them to arrive, they never did. I found they turned left on San Jose and went down to the malecon, where everything was held. Everybody went home, disappointed they were not able to partake in this event. One old Mexican lady was practically in tears. someone told me they came to San Antonio for this as the crowds are not as bad.
How sad this is, change the venue which has been advertised without letting the general public know, what a great disappointment for the deeply religious who were denied the opportunity to worship and adore.

Passion of Christ Empty Re: Passion of Christ

I am very sorry to hear this. I have been there in earlier years. Me, I always think that the locals know intimately what is going on, when and where. Sorry to hear that this is not true. No doubt the religious faithful will make their ire known to the church in San Antonio. What is the Latin for "even the clergy [mess] up"?
