My laugh for the day.

Just got a small flat envelope today at Chapala.

Mailed from Canada on October 30, 2015.

Only slightly over 3 months to arrive.

Not abnormal. I got insurance notice for November in January.

I received a letter from Revenue Canada in December that was mailed in May.....7 months. At least I received it the same year it was mailed.

So where do these things 'stay' while taking 3-7 months? Charlie on the MTA?

I got a Christmas card yesterday that was mailed before Thanksgiving. It was received in Chapala Jan 28 with no stamp that it had been to Mexico City, like last year about this time. Not good for receiving tax documents like 1099s in a timely manner.

In all of the above cases the mail was delivered.

I got 2 Christmas cards yesterday too. I told my friends to include Happy Valentine's Day cards with their Christmas cards.

When I moved to the central highlands of Mexico eight years ago I did not expect people would be able to drop mail somewhere in the United States and it would be delivered to me here in a timely fashion. I have never been surprised or disappointed.

What I noticed about the "carless" thread is that Mainecoons posted in it early on. When it was later locked, Moderator 3 locked it, not MS's alter ego moderator 2. Also, MC has been subdued lately even on threads about noise and potholes. I can not recall the last time he took a shot at the Chapala administration when it used to be just about every day. Perhaps some of the complaints were heard?

I can look online to see when mail is sent to me and when I kept account of it I noticed the following data. 50% took a month to deliver, 25% to two to four months to deliver and 25% never ever showed up. If its important that is what FedEx, UPS, or DHL is for. Winner was six months for one piece of mail.

BoA mailed me a new credit card,it took a month to get here,one day after I activated it somebody racked up 89usd buying ladies underwear,it must have been scanned/read in transit.
BoA did the right thing and canceled the charges and sent me a new card via UPS,it got here in two days.
Correos Mexicano pretty much sucksIMO.
