I was told a long time that in Mexico there is nothing can not be worked out. I have seen enough in the intervening years to believe that is pretty much true.

Update, I talked with someone in customs, and for more than I paid for the trailer, I can have it nationalized. Forget that poop. So it's off to get a receipt from a trailer maker.

There is a trailer maker in Chapala between Superlake & Sonrise Café that can do the job for you
Then you will need a picture of the trailer. I would go to the License Tag (Placa) issue dept & ask questions first

If he is the one I think you are talking about, he doesn't want to, as you can tell it is not MX made and then he may get in trouble. No problem, I don't want that to hapen to him. I'm getting it plated in South Dakota by mail!
