Denny's

Now I forgot to mention, for those who are unaware, that a new Denny's Restaurant opened next to Chili's (just past the airport) a couple of months ago. Open 24/7. Nothing like a Grand Slam on the way home from a late night in Guadalajara..........

If you happen to have spent time as a road warrior or a circuit follower with wierd hours, the sight of a Denny's was more than welcome.
The food was uninspirational but filling and didn't ruin your stomach. Not a bad combo at all!

This true however I had heard the legends but have never seen one in Mexico before.

When Plaza del Sol shopping mall between Lopez Mateos and Mariano Otero first opened, there was a Denny's.  It was the newest, biggest, and most far west shopping mall in the Metropolitan area, in fact it was the largest in Latin  America then.
Denny's  was in the interior of the mall and I don't know if it is still there or not,  as I haven't been to that mall in years.
Ate there many times back then as it was consistently mediocre.....LOL
That was 40 years ago.

There were many Denny's scattered around the city back then, including one right down town on Juarez and Alcalde.
