The Bravada Saga
A LESSER MECHANIC would have said he was sorry, he couldn't fix my car.
I wanted to get an oil change and lube so I went to see Felipe at his taller in Riberas next to Telecable. He said fine, and put it up on the rack and discovered bilateral broken spring leaves. Same one on both sides, the top, smaller one. No problem he said, I'll just need to keep the car for a day. Cool, says I.
Over a week later, after checking every single resource here and in Guad, Felipe set out for the junk yards. He thought it wouldn't be a problem, General Motors car, should be a wrecked Blazer or something lying around. . .every single car that would work had that part already harvested. uh oh.
Next day he went back to Guad and to the junk yard town. Same story, and we began to start talking about getting them made. He knew of a guy in Colima that could make one and we could have him put them on a bus bla bla bla.
Next day, Felipe found a guy in Zapopan who could make one. Felipe was there in Zapopan with the guy into the night, came back with it, and put it in my car the next day. Total tab - 2370 pesos.
Felipe and Rosie are the coolest.

Re: The Bravada Saga
I love a happy ending and I appreciate the glowing reference. For sure, I will use his services as a mechanic.
Does he do car painting as well? I now have a two tone car thanks to Monkey's Auto Body Shop. Lake Auto wants 20,000 (twenty thousand) pesos to repaint and will keep the car for three weeks. Yikes! I may have to just learn to like it... gag.

No, no painting. He might know someone! Ask him.

When nobody else can get the part, try Rock Auto Parts online.
