Recent experience

Feeling bad last week, went to pharmacy down the street and checked my blood sugar(25 pesos). It was 464. Had never been a diabetic. Went to an endocrinologist across the street. No secreatary or other personnel around. Just walked on in. He checked me out, found out newly onset diabetes exacerbated by a tooth infection. Placed me on antibiotics and diabetic meds. Charged me 420 pesos. Went to local hospital to get blood work up. Just walked into the lab. That was 800 pesos(ouch!). A couple of follow up dr's visits have been 150 pesos. Today went to a dentist down the street. Again, no secretaries or billing clerks. He referred me to a specialist in Sahuayo. He didn't charge me anything. Went to the specialist, one other person ahead of me. Wait was about 15 min. Went right on in and she did a root canal, charge was 2000 pesos with follow up visits. All doctors that I have seen have been very professional and very pleasant, explaining every procedure in detail.

I hope you have had an a1c blood test.It measures the average of a three month marker so you will know what your blood sugar was doing before your tooth infection.

Yes I did. Dr. Determined that my sugar had been rising since about January. I had felt under the weather but I never connected the dots
