Traffic light at Superlake is gone

The thing is, it's not really a lateral. It's a parking lot for the many busy businesses along there. 

As it gets turned into a lateral it's going to be dangerous for pedestrians and people trying to park in order to use those businesses. Just look how fast some of those passholes go on the other side as they make a game out of beating the light.

LOL! Yeah, I keep checking my car to see where the target is painted.

@Trailrunner. I think it's a lateral that is being used as a parking lot.... same as the one on the other side of the highway.

Yes, technically it is a lateral.

The traffic light WAS at the intersection of Independencia and the Carretera, now moved east to the intersection of Jesus Garcia and the Carretera.
You have to watch for vehicles turning SOUTH onto Independencia, which is a one way street NORTH.  They do it regularly and without looking to see what the correct movement of the traffic is doing.  Also, the two block stretch of the "lateral", from Independencia to Jesus Garcia is pretty rough with lots of baches ,AND as TR  says, is more parking lot than lateral.  Vehicles are parked diagonally on the south side and sometimes parallel on the north side, making a narrow one lane thoroughfare.  Saturday's, when  the church next to Ishop is in session, it gets very congested.

Today they were painting lane markers, crossing markers, and such. So, maybe there are more plans?

The "head" gringo didn't give them the "green light" go ahead (no pun intended), until about midnight.

I've been by several times, and in and out of SL a couple. When both lights are red there s no one in the exit from SL. No problem at all.
