Peso exchange

Stopped by Super Lake the other day to exchange some US dollars, their rate was 10.20. No thanks.

I just got 12.25 with my ATM card. That's a difference of 15.6% less than the exchange rate.

Electronic Exchange seems to be the direction to go... best rates

I have found Visa gives the Best Exchange of all.... but there is the worry of fraudsters getting your info and using it...

One trip I rented a car out of PV for 2 weeks... when I got my Visa Statement it read
approx $300.00 for rental & $1200.00 for insurance... I contested the insurance and Visa refused to pay it!! One for the little guy... I settled for $650.00!!

I know I get the best exchange rate using my credit card at a bank machine, even with their surcharges, just take out bigger chunks of cash. A generic ATM is a No No. You'll get gouged. On my statements I have seen the exchange amounts run to 6 decimal points. Gotta love that. Now, if I could only get the airmiles on those transactions then there would be a god. Maybe I do and then there is. Want to boost your Airmiles/reward point programmes big time? Just overpay your account, maybe get your credit limit raised, and go nuts, why not? How about major appliances or that BRAND NEW CAR. I've seen major vacations financed this way, like our own. Use your plastic every chance you get and pay off your balance every month.
