Doña Lola? Not a huge fan of the food myself, but it's okay. Easy access location, tons or room inside, pretty good parking (and on bus line), and nobody could complain about the prices....I wouldn't think....maybe?....

Dona Lola is good and there is parking, bus and walkable.

What about the new place, Cafe Libertad.. next to Century 21 in Chula Vista? I haven't heard any food reviews yet, but it is the same manager from Cafe Montana... It is at least central.

The only problem there is the noise level, especially since that's where the big trucks seem to downshift:  CRAAAANK. Walls of windows: always open. Would probably work well for a Swarm since it's large.

The food's okay: some good Mexican specialties. Burgers and sandwiches. The equipale chairs are comfortable.  Closed on Thursdays. Breakfast and lunch till around 4. Very reasonable prices.

Bus accessible easily.

Considering how poorly managed Cafe Montana was before it closed, I have to say that having the same manager doesn't sound like a plus.

If I were there, I would vote twice for Doña Lola, for all the reasons mentioned, and I really liked their food; especially huevos motoleños for breakfast or brunch.

I like Doña Lola too. Nice big airy comfortable place, big menu, friendly staff, food is fine, easy parking.

Not for me but do they serve beer or drinks at Dona Lola?

Speaking of Yves, you'd have the whole inside dining room to yourselves these days. Everybody chooses outdoors in this weather. The only day it wouldn't be good is "10%" off Mondays. Popular day for some reason

Just back from Yves....took me 1 3/4 hr to get my order!  Very unusual and they weren't that bz.  Sent inside 2x...it's coming.... No discount but huge apology from our usual waitress who came to my rescue..we were a party 7.

I went to a huge lunch there maybe 6 months ago and got great service.

Our b-fast club used to go to Eves about ounce a month, but no more, service got to be a way too slow.

...Bearing in mind that Dona Lola is closed on Thursdays and mobbed on weekends.

So a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday would probably be best.
