Remote propane tank guage

My propane tank is on the roof and a pain to go up and see the level. I just have them come by every six weeks to fill it. Does anyone here have a remote device for reading the propane level? I see a few on Amazon but not sure what would work with the typical tanks down here.

Several clients of mine have had them at their houses and seemed please with how they work. If you don't get first-hand responses here, I'd ask the guys who deliver your propane. Or check with the folks at Casa de Plomero on the carretera in Ajijic.

I don't have or need one but Mercado Libre has a nice selection including wireless which can be read by an app on your phone in both litres and percentage (which I thought was cool).

It would be a great gadjet for people who have their tanks on the roof.

And there's a similar gadget for those with tinacos to see the water level. I'll be buying the solar version which will read digitally in my kitchen. Crabbing up onto the roof is getting old... or I am. Whatever. It's on my wish list.

A friend in Ajijic got a remote gauge, once she realized her gas guys ripped her off. Very happy now!

Got mine at mercado libre for 850 pesos (it was on sale). The manufacturer is MIDEGAS and its hard wired. More importantly, I then realized how much ZETA gaz was ripping me off. Needless to say I now use a different company and they are made aware of the electronic tank gauge.

Did it come with everything you need for install because I believe they require a special meter on the tank.

yes it comes with all the equipment. You simply have to remove the existing gauge and install the electronic one. It come with about 5 meters of wire, 12 Volt adapter and an electronic display which can display liters and percentages. I bought 4 kits for the upstairs units I have. I love them, I have the display installed and each kitchen so at a glance I know when I need to order gas. They also have a website, just type Midegas and you should be able to locate it.

I purchased this unit last year from Amazon. You download the app from the play store and you can just look at it any time on your cell phone. After a little calibrating it is spot on.
