When is the best weather?

Planning to visit Lakeside to scout out possibilities of a future domestic relocation.
Currently I live in San Jacinto located in SoCA.
I plan on staying in the Lake Chapala area for a month dividing my time visiting different locations around the lake via airbnb.
My question is...what 30 day time frame would be the most pleasant weather?
Also does anyone have knowledge of this place?

It really depends on what type of weather you like.

Mid November to late January it gets kind of chilly.
February to April sunny and perfect temps.
April and May dry and hot.
June to late October rainy season. Rains primarily at night. Decent temps during the day.

For me the best 30 days would be from Feb 15 to Mar 15.

I noticed that air fares drop considerably beginning in March.    
Trying to decide wheather to stay in just one central airbnb in Ajiji for the entire four weeks in March and rent a car or visit different regions of Lake Chapala by way of staying at various locations around the lake via airbnb.
There’s certainly no shortage of rentals at very reasonable price.

You will find a shortage in Ajijic Centro for an entire month this late in the game. Anything worth staying at gets booked up 6 months to a year in advance. You may be forced to stay at several different places.

October. And the mountains are still green and have lots of wild flowers.

Yes October is good too. More vacancies and a longer lead time to find one.

May is hot and dry but like it, I come back from Chiapas early May because the rainy season there starts in May and my house which is freezing cold now is cool in May and I like the hot days and cool nights...but I agree May is no good for nice walks unless it is very early in the morning and the dust is pretty bad.

I'm beginning to reconsider and bump my visit to the month of October.
Most likely better choices of airbnb, less crowds a more lush scenery during that time frame.

October is the beginning of snowbird/tourist/high season. . .

It's the second best climate in the world. You almost can't miss - if you avoid mid May to mid June and most of January

Yeah but if they start looking for a rental now they should be ok with lots of options.

I’m hesitating because  over the years I’ve heard such wonderful accolades  regarding  the beauty of Lakeside in the springtime.  
I realize that I need to make up my mind soon if I want a decent place.
At the moment I’m leaning towards March.

March is far from the most beautiful month. It is getting hot, it’s very dry and dusty, and the mountains are brown. It still is beautiful but not as beautiful as it will become in late June. After living here almost 12 years, September and October remain my favorite months weather wise for the reasons others have stated. March, April, and May are my least favorite with May the most awful for heat, dust, and cranky people. However, you will have a great time no matter when you come. There is something to be said for knowing you have seen the place at its worse (or at least what many other people consider its worst).
