Good Read esp for Canadians

Well I read the St Catharines Standard (Ontario, Canada) on a daily basis in order to get a picture of what is happening in a town where I lived for about 11 years. So I think it was last week and for St Patrick's day that Brock students took to the streets as is custom every year to party.
They interviewed one student which said that she had not planned to go out but then she noticed the crowd so decided to go. The police where even kind enough to block the road. Teenager's will be teenager's regardless of which country they are from. My suggestion to all is to sit back have a couple of cold Coronas and think about all the dumb stuff you did when you where young and invincible.

The young have always thought they were immortal until reality hits them in the face. What worries me is their parents and grandparents who should know better and are supposed to be role models.

"Supposed to be role models"??? When does a teenager in full adolescent rebellion mode ever look to their parents or grandparents for a role model??

Fine. They are supposed to be AND act as role models. It's called parenting for a reason. You know, "tough love", "do as I say" or you'll be grounded and lose cell phone privileges.

And I wasn't referring to teenagers in article, I was referring to the so called adults in the article who obviously haven't got two brain cells to rub together.

Well the first sixty years are the most difficult to grow up.

I wasn't applauding or blaming the parents; just commenting on the nature of rebellious teenagers. Whether the elders are perfect role models or just foolish flakes probably doesn't much matter. Teens are more inclined to see a rock star as a role model than their elders. The parents seem to get a lot smarter by the time their offspring reach 30.
