Loncheria Palacios

For those of you on the west side of town...Loncheria Palacios (Ocampo just east of Rio Bravo) has delicious tamales today. $145 for a dozen.

That is very close to where I reside but, unfortunately, I cannot make it there this afternoon. Are these delicious tamales available every day because, as a tamal freak, I would like to try them.;

I don't think they make them every day. I'll watch for the "tamales" sign and post again when they make more.

Hola Bubba2shoes...it's tamale time again at Loncheria Palacios. Make sure to get some of the salsa too. It is outstanding!

Already had my outstanding Baja style shrimp tacos from Lake Taco out on the libramiento today so, unfortunately, no room left for tamales but, I do note that these tamales have been served so far on Mondays according to your posts so I will try them next Monday, or sooner if possible, and report back if I have any luck. Meanwhile, my high recommendation for Lake Taco where one can dine al fresco overlooking a fine view of the lake and they have a full bar. Damn good Baja Sur style tacos.

Marco of El Rey Taco is making his fruit turnovers again. He used to call them empanadas and had delivery route of regular customers. This new version is a lot larger, crispy, flakey pastry. And to me, they seem to use real fruit. One turnover can treat three people, especially with a morning coffee.
