Walmart not taking credit cards???

TOB had a post Walmart stopped taking credit cards. The poster talked to the service desk but didn’t seem to get a reason why.
Anyone been denied paying with a CC?

Didn't they say the power went out at WM today? Maybe the system was down.

Yes, they did say the power was out. The credit card system also wouldn't work if their internet was out.
I used my card there on Wednesday.

I was there this afternoon and electricity was on but the cashier said, “Cash only.” The ATM next to the broken Bancomer ATM was working as well.

Why is a big grocery Walmart not taking CC. Some body fluent in Spanish ask the manager what is the problem and post here. Please.

That's the problem in a nutshell. Somebody not fluent in Spanish was told exactly what the problem was and left even less informed and completely mistaken, so started a rumour.

That´s correct, and it´s too late and I´m too tired to even explain what happened.  Don´t panic and just be assured that your credit card will be just fine probably the next time you go, and it´s not the end of the world (of credit cards).
I had no problem finding someone who knew what the problem was, or at least what they knew was the result of the problem…….no access to the validation of credit card payment for purchases.
