Yes, that is pretty awesome.
But did you know a similar feat was accomplished here in Guadalajara in 1950?
In order to widen Vallarta avenue, it was decided to move the Telmex building.
My neighbor who unfortunately passed away recently, was involved with this endeavor, working for eng. Matute.

They did so while the employees were working inside. I imagine the problems with all the wires!

That is also very cool!
I know of other buildings that have been moved but they have been limited to square buildings moved in one direction.
All those little "centipede" feet moving an L-shaped building in a curve really captured my imagination.

So why walk the building instead of using roller type technology. The only thing we could figure out is an uneven surface so they used the hydraulics to keep the building level. Any other ideas?
