BTW, have noticed a speed decrease in the past few days.

Telmex internet out again!

Can't believe that you are still dealing with Telmex. Is it your only choice?

First time I've seen TelMex give this reason for the outage,
"Robo de Cable"

Must be needing copper in Santa Clara del Cobre.

I guess it depends upon where you live. I have had Telmex since I got here in 1997 and their internet, later, once they offered it. It is very reliable in my part of upper Ajijic. And when it goes down, which isn't very often, I use my cable company internet connection or if both are out (almost never) I use my cell phone as a hot spot.

But to be fair Pete, you are only here for a portion of the year.

Good point, Bob. I got back and forth between here and Seattle three times per year. These days, I am averaging about 8 and 1/2 months per year here, and 3 and 1/2 months per year in Seattle.

BTW...not Telmex fibre...copper lines.

Working ok here, 3 blocks west of Colón.  

We've been monitoring our TelMex for a few months since it was upgraded to fiber.  Been consistent, good speeds.  

Will soon drop Ilox and keep TelMex as backup to TotalPlay.  Lived here long enough to always want at least 2 internet providers.

No change, still out! Isn't Telmex wonderful...not!

Can you not switch to another provider? Or does the development where you live only allow Telmex?
Yesterday morning, a truck snapped by TotalPlay line. By 3 pm, it was all fixed (and is higher) and that included a complete re-stringing of the line from inside my house to the junction box at the next corner. After dealing with Telmex and iLox, the customer service with TotalPlay is a breath of fresh air.

Unfortunately not, this has been one of the longest outages yet. Starlink is attractive but expensive.

I would be bringing up the subject at the next H.O.A. meeting to dump Telmex and go to TotalPlay. Your development has far too many outages for anybody to be happy there with the existing Telmex service.

The frac has a very long and complex relationship with Telmex and the logistics make it extremely difficult to change.
