Flash floods in RC

A friend of mine in the Racquet Club sent me video of huge boulders, mud and vehicles washing down his street. He figures the main drag up is wiped out too. Hopefully SJC below is ok.

Kind of reminds me of the big flood several years ago when the rocks were as big as volkswagens and crashed into houses.  Took days before people could get out of the fracc.  Another reason not to live in an arroyo.  Hope the folks in SJC are ok or are their houses filled with mud like last time.

We lived in SMA from 2004 on, but the altitude and other matters was unsatisfactory, so we came here in early 2008, house hunting. This was not long after that disaster at the Racquet Club in 2007, and we were shown several properties there. Did the real estate people say word one about what happened so recently? HAH. Not a word. That may not be illegal, but it sure as hell is unethical.
Fortunately, we bought elsewhere. No problems in this rain. My sympathies to the Racquet Club residents. Looks like the entry became impassable.
