Bicycles To Be Banned from Ajijic Malecón and Plaza

The Laguna newspaper says signs will soon be posted that bicycles (both pedal and motorized) are banned from the malecón and plaza in Ajijic. Also any other motorized transport such as scooters, motorcycles.

As a daily walker through both venues, I am glad to hear this. The worst offenders are the old farts on their electric bikes. Many of them have diminished reflexes and going way too fast. Seen a few close calls.

Great. Since they spent all that money on a bike path let them use that.

Nobody ever enforces the law, so they will keep doing it...

Until they put someone on the Malecon to issue tickets, this new regulation will be about as successful as the "leash" law. hah!

Tonight there were 3 mopeds and five bikes riding around on the plaza, i hope they put up sign soon...it is crazy with them on Ajijic plaza
