Getting old & needing help

My husband and I are facing a new challenge. We are contemplating a move to an assisted living facility. We really have no clue about these matters. With that being said we would be very grateful for any recommendations. We would love to hear from anyone who has stayed in any of the facilities here at Lakeside. Sorry you are facing this; it is something many of us will have to deal with.

Do you need a lot of 'assistance' or could the alleviation of some daily chores suffice?

I have heard good things about The Moon in West Ajijic. Rent includes 2 meals a day, laundry/ironing, total maintenance inside and out. Very new and looks nicely kept and run.

The only one I would avoid is the US funded one west of Ajijic, north side of carretara. It is US model, high prices, underfunded for planned expansion
