For the past 14 years we have been spending 6 months at Lakeside and returning to Alberta for the summer.
In all my time here I cannot recall having anywhere the construction that is occurring here now. There must be a dozen homes being built in Ceilo Vista, 5 in Vista Alegre, a dozen? in Vista de Lago, several projects in Riberas, etc. etc. I believe this trend will continue as Guadalajara grows southward, working remotely, etc. I do not relish prospect as our infrastucture is already being strained. What will things be like here in 10 years?

I have no idea about 10 years from now as I’ll be dead but you’re right about all the construction. Sure see it here in Riberas where the water supply is strained already. Glad I came in 2010.

Yep!

It will just be more congested and more built up and will still lack the proper infrastructure. It's why we left San Miguel de Allende in 2005 and San Miguel is even worse now. It's called "progress" and it happens everywhere in the world.
