TelMex Fiber Network

We were away when they come through our block in Ajijic Cento to install Fiber Optic.

They came yesterday and got us on it.

I am getting 150-190 mgs.

Time will tell if it is consistent. If it is, we may drop Ilox, but keep Total Play (we have lived here since 2008 and will always keep at least 2 ISP's).

TelMex said we get 6 months free without an uptick to our current 389p monthly bill.

Anyone know what it will jump to, and will I have choice of speeds and pricing?

I *think* that Telmex gives a better speed.... when they themselves switch you over.... for a while. Sounds like that might be 6 months for you.  Get you hooked at a higher speed.

BUT your $389p would normally "only" get you Hasta 60mbps and 1 phone. Higher speeds cost more. Keep in mind that not all devices are capable of running the highest speeds and that ethernet connected devices will probably be faster than wifi ones. The newer the device the  better of course.
