Recommendations for Work? Empty Recommendations for Work?

Post by Lehrer Sat Dec 10, 2011 6:44 pm

While walking Shiva this evening, Maria & I were stopped by a mid-twenties (I'm guessing) young Mexican male who wanted help with his English and asked permission to stop & chat with us when he sees us out and about.

He told us that he had been to Guadalajara to apply for a job as a customer service rep and did not pass the English test.

As the conversation progressed, Maria & I suggested he might talk with a couple of bi-lingual Mexican nationals whom we know here in Tizapán to see if they could give him leads. Also, to consider Wal-Mart in Ajijic and Soriana's in Chapala.

His English is very good (not perfect) and his conversational skills as well.

Does anybody out there have any other suggestions?

There is a man in Chapala who runs a "job bank" listing all who are looking for jobs and their skills. I think his name is Ronnie - he is Belgian. Maybe someone in this forum knows the exact location of his job bank in Chapala so Lehrer can refer this man to be in the job system.
