Susan sorry Gringo/a is a word in the dictionary and it is not a bad word
as you have suggested and has nothing to do with the N word. Why do
you like to stir things up like this? This is a waste of time and sometimes
I think Susan is a waste of time. I will continue to use an appropriate word
for the appropriate use and I don't care what Susan or anyone thinks.

according to the dictionary, you are right but I can tell you that people do not ask for your nationality before calling you a gringo. You are not a Mexican so you are a gringo. Canadians are referred to as gringo as well . If you are not from here you are a gringo and so am I and I am European.
Many poor Mexicans do not know the difference between US and Canada, it is all el Norte to them and frankly they could not care less if you are a Canadian or a US citizen..

Gringo usually refers to Americans but then some people are ignorant and paint with a broad brush as many people in northern Mexico think all living south of Sinaloa are Chilangos.
