Re: Eartquake
We're in Barra de Navidad, my wife felt it but I didn't. The water moving in the garrafon confirmed it. Cell phones are down.

Re: Eartquake
You guys have been drinking again! Just a few weeks ago, John assured everyone that there were not earthquakes around Lake Chapala and we know he doesn't drink!

Well baton down the hatches Solo in case that big wave rolls in.
Re: Eartquake
Felt it here in Vista Alegre, my computer monitor was swaying and it lasted for about 10 seconds or so.
Now I'm really concerned about the work being done on the mountain behind us.
Not good at all, glad they stopped the work last month.

Re: Eartquake
You probably did. Have another screwdriver and throw a few more Big Daddy's on the BBQ.
Re: Eartquake
I know that they spell things differently up on the frozen tundra but I can honestly say that I have never heard of an Eartquake. Must have been the panic of the moment?

Re: Eartquake
i was driving down main street Chapala, missed the whole thing! Hubby had to playback video surveillance for me to see a hanging basket & power lines swinging. Must of been maybe a 4, if that, by the time it reached us. Anyone know how to tell what it would have been here?

Re: Eartquake
Earthquake measuring devices are typically designed to measure the quake at point of origin and not in the outlying areas. Speculating that it was a 4 around Lake Chapala is nothing more than speculation! Not surprising but it seems that no one picked up on the fact that there was a 8.6 quake off the coast of Sumatra earlier today!

Re: Eartquake
What's to pick up? I read about it in the news. Being a California girl & felt plenty...great speculation. Anything less than a 4 feels like a bus driving by...this caused swaying, more like a 4. ;)
