Bobbing Bird statues

There is a metalworker on the street (Zapato) to our complex that is making the coolest bobbing bird statues I have seen. This one stands about 5 - 6 feet tall. He has a couple of different designs and is selling them for $5000.00 MXN. What a great conversation piece for the garden

I am sure he does. You should come by and visit him. I am not sure how your Espanol is but be speaks very good English. He is working in an open shop just before the entrance to Los Arroyos Sur on the left hand side.

It appears from the photo that this ironworker has some real talent and an eye for creating a unique product. We have seen something similar in Tonala but as you can see from the photo below, not nearly the artistic talent.

Now that was funny!

I use to bring a couple up to Seattle in my empty pickup truck going north. Now
someone is exporting them to the PNW. Any gardener friends up north take em
up one if you have space. We have a big one in our yard in Ajijic, slightly different
style. The pictures look like more like the giant one in the plaza in Ajijic. Mine are
much simpler.

I live a few blocks from his shop and drive by alot but have not seen him for the past week. How do we contact him. My wife went gaga over the birds and hounds me constantly to get one

I'm at the Ajijic plaza. And I don't see the bobbing bird statue here today. Maybe the statue is getting repaired as I recall it had a problem with its head missing.

Yes, he has been hit and miss this week. He was there yesterday for a few hours but not much otherwise. When I see him again I will see if he has some contact info.

He is back there today. His name is Jose and his number is 331-460-3662. He is quite the accomplished metalworker and does gates, doors, etc.

The fellow is making smaller "tabletop" bobbing birds now so I broke down and bought one. Very cool. It is so balanced it bobs for about 3 or 4 minutes with one push.

I got a rooster. Beautiful work.

I wondered who bought the Rooster. I had my eye on that one.....jajajaja.

That's more the size I want. I'll have to get out there.
