Auto insurance for a month?

I have use of a car for the coming month; the owner is in Canada and the insurance on the car has lapsed. I've talked to one agency and was told that they don't have coverage for a month, and also that they would only cover the owner and relatives of the owner.

Does anyone know of a way to get insurance coverage for one month? (The owner has an agent here who can provide documentation for the car, etc.).

Did you try the Owner's insurance agent? I assume you did. You could try Parker in Riberas. Sorry, I don't have their phone.

I think although I'm not sure that they don't like to sell policies for a month. Maybe 6 months???

An alternate would be to set up a deal with a local taxi driver.

Yes I did call the local agent, and it is Parker. They don't write coverage for a month.
