It was nice, Pedro bought everybody a drink. Poems were said. Stories were told.

It was beautiful and touching, sort of odd with tears and laughter and lots of loving energy. There were Americans, Canadians and Mexicans gathered on the beach. I met Peter´s sister, cousin, wife and son.His son is an amazing young man. He thanked me for being there and said how much it meant to him that his father had a place where he was accepted, loved and, most of all, respected. Kyle said how much that meant to him. He had a large plastic trash bag full of things that belonged to his father. He said he wanted them all to stay in Mexico. He opened the bag on the beach and asked people to take something to remember his father by. It was all quirky, colorful stuff like Pedro. I am glad I was there.
