What is the crime of the day?

Town crier just went by hawking the paper. Too many cars so I wasn't able to hear what he was saying. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Or what went on?

2 simapa workers died in a hole they were digging near san juan cosala. that's my interpretation and i'm sticking to it.

I would say the crime of the day was having two workers hand excavate a 15 foot deep trench with no safety measures being taken to prevent a collapse of the walls,very sad.

and then showing one of the dead worker's face in the newspaper post mortem.
