THAT is a really interesting choice. I had that OST on vinyl back in the day.

Pulled the following off of my DVD of the movie a few years ago:

So did you like the soundtrack because of the movie, or vice versa? Beer

Me, too. Still do. Thanks for that video flashback. I was pretty young, and the movie blew me away (not because it was a masterpiece, but because it was aimed squarely at my age group and was one of the first like that). A fave from the soundtrack is "14 Or Fight". The whole concept of herding over-30s into camps sounds so... wrong, now, lol.

Many moons ago, Dick Cavett asked Henry Mancini who was the greatest Hollywood composer ...without a moment's hesitation, Henry replied Erich Wolfgang Korngold.  Not familiar with him, I did some research.  Korngold, along with Max Steiner(Casa Blanca, Gone With The Wind) and others, escaped Austria-Germany one step ahead of Hitler and wound up in Hollywood.  He became Warner Bros. chief composer during the swash-buckling Errol Flynn era.  This is one of his banging scores...Love to crank this one up on my big-ass Bose surround-sound after a few soda pops.

i'm with SmartAlex, "The Harder They Come," but i also love the soundtrack from "Grease."  Still have both on CD (and originally had them on vinyl).

My personal favorite from the movie "The Harder They Come" is "Sitting in Limbo." It's seen me through a lot of bad times.

Reggae, it'll save ya!!

Sitting in Limbo, Pressure Drop, Many Rivers to Cross, Johnny Too Bad, etc...it's all good. Here's a clip of Toots and the Maytals doing Sweet and Dandy. from the movie.

One of the great musicians of the 20th century doing improvisation for the Louis Malle movie Ascenseur pour l'échafaud

Crappy movie, great soundtrack

Wow, can't believe I forgot about this one...the soundtrack from Paris, Texas. Here's a cut. The vocal is by Harry Dean Stanton.
