Well there was some shooting going on last Monday night around 11:30 in chapala but I don't know any details or how it ended up...I can tell you this though...the reason they call it gunfire is because FIRE shoots out of the gun ...

Wow...didn't see the victim or his car but he was a lucky guy. Bailing out of his car and running was a bold move but probably saved him because there were a hell of a lot of shots fired.
As we all know we never hear about these things unless there is a victim discovered or rescued. It really is not safe to be out at night anymore, I don't believe things are as peaceful as they seem here. The disturbing part for me is that it doesn't freak me out like it used to.

yes its un naturally quiet, no reports of problems here or in guadalajara. not sure if its a good sign or not..i did see on the way to guadalajara the mariscos restaurant with palapa and a small lake had been burnt down..!! hope it was just an accident and can reopen....
